Environmental Policy

Hospitales Pascual, a leading responsible company in the hospital management sector, is committed to caring for and respecting the environment in the daily performance of its activities.

That is why we adopt this Environmental Policy, which provides the frame of reference for establishing and reviewing environmental objectives and goals, based on the following ten principles:

  • Comply with environmental legislation that applies to our activity, as well as commitments acquired voluntarily.
  • Apply environmental criteria in all planning processes and decision-making on issues that may affect the environment.
  • Implement the necessary tools to prevent pollution.
  • Use resources rationally, minimizing the consumption of water, paper and energy; reducing the generation of waste and emissions; promoting recycling and seeking eco-efficient solutions.
  • Involve all employees in the chain in achieving the proposed environmental objectives through training and awareness programs.
  • Promote good environmental practices among our suppliers and customers.
  • Contribute to the research, development and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge aimed at preserving the environment.
  • Collaborate with public administrations and entities in the sector in the definition and implementation of the conditions for the development of Sustainable Tourism.
  • Contribute with our activities to the improvement of the environmental conditions of the regions and countries where we operate, identifying points for improvement and working on efficient solutions adapted to each environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in all those environmental aspects that the Company identifies.

HELP US TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Caring for the environment is EVERYONE’s responsibility, your participation is very important. Together we can reduce water and energy consumption as well as CO2 emissions. Wasting raw materials, energy or water is not an advantage for anyone and generates high environmental damage.

Participate by following these tips:

  • Keep windows closed when the heating or air conditioning is on.
  • Use air conditioners only when necessary. The recommended temperature in summer should not be below 26 degrees and in winter should not exceed 21 degrees according to the Technical Code.
  • Avoid leaving the water running when brushing your teeth or washing your hands, turn off the tap when you are not using it, do not flush the toilet more than necessary.
  • Do not throw paper or products into the toilet.
  • Request a change of towels and sheets when necessary.
  • Take advantage of natural lighting to avoid unnecessary consumption and turn off lights that you do not need.
  • Turn off or disconnect electrical appliances that you do not use, TV, chargers.
  • Noise is also a form of pollution. Avoid speaking loudly and adjust the volume of any device. Be respectful of other patients and respect the rest of others, do not forget that you are in a Hospital.
  • Keep doors closed.
  • Avoid unnecessary oxygen consumption, contact staff if it is not being used or you detect a leak.
  • Report any leaks, defects, breakdowns or losses in the facilities.
  • Use the material that the hospital provides you prudently and avoid generating unnecessary waste.
