Admissions and Discharges
Admission to our hospital, which must always be indicated by a doctor, can be:
SCHEDULED:
It is carried out in the Admissions Department, which is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Outside of these hours, they are formalized from the Emergency Department.
You should go to the Admissions Department at the time indicated on your admission document. The Admissions Department is located on the ground floor of the Hospital, at the main entrance located at Calle Diego Arias Nº 2.
If the day and/or time of admission is changed by telephone, please notify the Admissions Department upon arrival. Once your admission has been formalized, an orderly will accompany you to the corresponding care unit.
In any case, you must bring the following documentation with you: – ID – Admission document – Health card or document from your insurance company
URGENT:
If your health problem constitutes an emergency and the doctors of that service consider it so, you can go to the observation area and from there, if necessary, to the corresponding hospitalization area. You or a family member must provide the following documentation to the Emergency Department: – ID – Document from your insurance company. We remind you that the Andalusian Health Service has not arranged the Emergency Service of this center.
DISCHARGES:
Your doctor decides and informs you of the day of discharge. Please anticipate the time of your departure from the hospital with your family as much as possible, as the bed you occupy will possibly be assigned to a new patient who will be waiting for it. Please check that you do not forget any personal items in the room.
If you have any questions about the treatment, care or diet to follow, do not hesitate to ask the staff who have attended you; it is important for you to carry out all the recommendations and indications in this regard correctly. At the time of discharge, you will be provided with the official Medical Discharge Report document, which includes, among other data, your identification, diagnosis at discharge, as well as treatment, care or diet to follow at home.
Both the Medical Discharge Report and the Nursing Discharge Report will be sent within a maximum period of 48 hours to the Health Center to which you belong. Take your Discharge Report to your family doctor so that he can prescribe the appropriate medication and carry out the follow-up. If you require a review by the Specialist in the hospital or nursing care by the specialized nursing staff of the center, it will be stated in the same Discharge Report so that you can request the corresponding appointment at the Admissions Department. If necessary, the appropriate sanitary transport will be processed upon hospital discharge.
The center respects your wishes if you wish to leave it without medical consent. In this case, you must sign the Voluntary Discharge Document, which states that it is at the patient’s request and exempts the healthcare staff from any responsibility in this regard.
If you leave the center without signing this Document, this fact will be recorded in the Clinical History, verified by the professionals who followed your process for the purposes mentioned in this paragraph.
